Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez’s Fifth District Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is composed of high school students who are passionate about serving the communities they live in. Each student has the opportunity to speak on youth-related issues and recommend solutions to the Board of Supervisors. The Youth Commission aims to broaden students’ knowledge and understanding of County government while inspiring civic engagement and leadership.

In addition, the Youth Advisory Council provides students with firsthand experience in community outreach and local government operations. Members take initiative in creating and leading service projects based on their own interests, developing valuable leadership and teamwork skills that prepare them for the future while making a meaningful impact on their communities.

• RUHS SAFE Talk Training on Teen Suicide Prevention
• Beaumont Hispanic Heritage Celebration
• Annual Feminine Hygiene Product Drive
• Adopt-A-Road Cleanup – Moreno Valley
