Supervisor V. Manuel Perez’s Fourth District Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is comprised of student representatives from public and private high schools from Palm Springs to Blythe, identifies youth related concerns and issues within the Fourth District. It also takes on community-enhancing activities, service projects, partnerships and collaborations.
Each student is given an opportunity to speak on youth-related issues and recommend solutions to the Board of Supervisors. The Youth Commission aims to broaden students’ knowledge and understanding of County Government. In addition, the Youth Advisory Council is a great opportunity for students to gain firsthand experience with community outreach. Throughout the school year the YAC students will gain leadership skills that will prepare them for the future and help better the lives of youth within Riverside County.
